Biology Major

Hello, my name is Augustine Ominu, and I am from Nigeria. I am a Biology major with a minor in Chemistry. Along with being a part of the basketball team at JCSU, I was also a research participant in the National Science Foundation Student Minigrant Research Program (NSF SMRP). I had worked with other students examining the physical properties of materials before and after 3-D printing. As a member of M-PURE, I have been given the opportunity to study cellulose nanomaterials infused with nanoparticles. I have also been trained in thermal analysis instrumentation, including thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) and differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). This program has greatly boosted my confidence and knowledge of the sciences, preparing me for a career in STEM fields.
