Representing in the Big Easy! JCSU Students Shined at American Chemical Society Spring Conference
Four JCSU students, Mr. Saeed Dupree (Chemistry and Biology), Mr. Joshua Beatty (Biology), Ms. Tay-Keara Bristol (Biology, Biology), and Ms. Heavyn Smith (Biology) represented Johnson C Smith University (JCSU) at the ACS Spring 2024 in New Orleans, March 17-21. The theme "Many Flavors of Chemistry, covering food, diversity, materials, and wellness." I am so proud of them for taking advantage of the many opportunities this conference had to offer. Furthermore, they understood the science of networking and making key connections. JCSU should be so proud of these exceptional students as they become the future scientists and doctors of tomorrow. All students are members of the Minority–Polymer Undergraduate Research Experiences Program (M-PURE) under the leadership of PI Dr. Tracy Brown-Fox, and their research is supported by NSF Award: #2101209.
